One of the main attractions of Lapland at this time of year is the fact that the sun never truly sets. Because of the latitude, the sun moves around the sky but rarely dips below the horizon. It was only natural, therefore, that we joined a trek into the forest to see the full beauty of the midnight sun.

Ranua Wildlife Park, located 80km south of Rovaniemi, has over 50 different species of animals. Owls, deer, bears, wolves, wild cats, and even domestic animals such as goats, cows, and sheep that go ‘moo’.

Spending the weekend in Lapland. 24 hour daylight. Weather is also forecasting 24 hour rain.

Mont Royal is a hill in the middle of Montreal, around 200m above sea level. It offers a great view of the city and is also mega for running and cycling. Last year I ran up it. This year I walked up it twice in one day (it really is worth it!). I tested out the photo feature on my new GoPro camera. Pretty happy with the results.
